Rear Diff Gears 5:13 front 4:62 will it work ??

Have 91 Kick with the auto gears the 4:62's

Rear end is blown, am going to pick up a rear end axle to axle from the yard but with the 5:13's from the 5spd.

Is it safe to drive highway and will I still get the benefit of the gears with just the rear end the 5:13 and the front still the original auto 4:62.

Thanks
