my buddy has a 64 impala with a 350 in it. not original motor (duh)
anyways it needs some work and he wants to upgrade with some chrome shiet.

how does one i.d. a 350?? what year etc? where are the numbers stamped?

Passenger side top of block just in front of the head a piece of the deck sticks out past the head, id # will be stamped there if the engine hasn't been deck planed.

Rear of the block drivers side on the flat area where u bolt the tranny too is where yea find the block casting number the one on the passenger side is the RPO which is the number for when they assemble the motor, the size and what they installed it in.
