dodge ram

Hello! I own a 1996 dodge ram 1500 and I made a dodge ram alternator replacement. I noticed that the voltage to the battery is still very much high than expected. Then ironically ,it drops down when stopped at a light. Has anyone experienced this before?

i would check the wires on back of altenator make sure there tight. if that don't do it then i wuld guess you are gonna end up having the wiring issues most people have with 94-99 dodge ram trucks check your headlight switch see if it has started melting yet.
