stupid question

so im trying to get the locking hubs off my dana 50 ttb, ive had them off once sometime last year and i cant figure out how to get them off again.... i undid all the hex bolts around the case, popped the cover and switch off.. undid the little holding screw, pulled out the gear and spring and took the split ring off the end of the shaft... but the rest of the gear assembly wont come out..... wtf!! there is still the peice around the outside and the spline around the shaft... i dont see any other split ring farther in that they talk about...

that what i was reading, i found a ring on the inside but its not looking like a split ring... there seems to be no end to it so i assumed it was a washer in there of some sort... i guess ill have to try cleaning it up a little more... i still cant belive ive done this once allready and now i cant figure it out... i probley used a big hammer and a drift last time after a few too many beers

start cleaning that thing and spinning the hub. there is an end and thats what you need. 2 pic tools work the best. get that sucker out then put a pair of the allen head or torx or what ever bolts back into the case and pull out.
