Good question.

Eagle Mountain key access program is one issue that is a definitely victory for wheelers. I am not claiming this as only a 4WDABC success but we played a part, as did many wheelers in lobbying the City of Coquitlam.

Blue Mountain access is another wheeling area where access has been lost and we have been unable to make any headway in the last decade on the Maple Ridge side of things. We have been working with the District of Mission and the West Stave side of things. Mission wants to change west Stave from a TFL to an Interpretive Forest making W Stave an mixed use OHV area. We have lobbied that we regain access to the rec site on Blue Mountain via the Rockwell Creek FSR. This is a work in progress.

A third area where we have had an impact is via our maintaining recreation sites for the Ministry. Each of these sites were taken on for their strategic value in gaining our association a contractual obligation on major FSR's in the lower mainland. The logic is that these roads cannot be shut down to 4x4's as that would violate our contracts to maintain these sites.

I fail to see how we fucked up this site.

Personally, I think it is the 1 percenters who do this stuff.

I would much rather that there wasn't a need for an association such as ours in the first place and I could just go wheelin' with my family, fishing with my kids and drinkin' with my friends but there it is.

Maybe your group could look at Davis lake. Funinbc have had a number of clean up's there with support from local goverment. It's been a number of months since we have done one but this area sounds like it would be better suited for your group to maintain. I have all the contact info if your intersted in taking this over
