how to drain block

Whats the easiest way to drain a block on a ford 460?? Just take off lower rad hose??

lower rad hose and pull thermostat then put low psi feed through the upper rad hose assuming you put it back w/o thermostat

will purge all fluid out....

drian oil start it up and hold it to the floor till you see smoke anbd it get's quiet ....

drill a 9/16th hole at the bottom of the block and after patch it up with jb weld

remove block drains. One on each side. Prolly too late now,,,,,,,since its starting to warm up.

ok ok, drained about a gallon out of the petcock which was lower then rad hose yesterday. Found tester today so will check level. Oil is good so I hope level is good... parked in Chwk for 2-3 yrs so it got cold there too but not like -28 few days ago. My Jimmy wasa at -20 and it did not even gel up. I guess using a rifle my 303 would it be powerful enough??
