need new truck

well my 4runner is most likley to be a write off so im just waiting for icbc to pay out... i need a neew rig for wheelin/campng and kid haulin...the obvious answer is to bye a cherokee...what years and/or option packages are the ones to look for or steer clear of...im guessing i will have about 4000 to 5000 to spend so im looking for somthing cheap that i can fix or something already started...please let me know if you have any feed back or a cherokee for sale

grands suck, older jeeps blow, 91 - 95 cherokees are good (all jeeps have wiring issues)

fords are junk an too small for kids unless you get a monster, or just go get yourself another 4runner from somewhere rusting in someone backyard

If you look at later model XJ's (Cherokee not the Grand Cherokee) there were some that came stock with a d44 in the rear and an lsd. I'd try to find one of those.

Apparently the 2 doors are a little easier for fender trimming but with kids I assume you'll look for a 4 door anyway.

ya not looking for a monster i already have a 93 f250 and its off the road cause its too much on gas thanks for the info and would the gearing be different in one with a tow package??

You can find a nice built cherokee for 4-5000.
