all depends on what you want, 351m/400 are a small block. 390 is a big block. 351m/400 are great motors very easy to get power out of. where as the 390 should already have enough power.

351m/400 can be made to produce a lot of power, they have oiling issues. But will run on seriously practically 0 psi. Also if you do a 460 swap let me know ill give you a hand, I put a 460 in my 78 bronco.

390 wont work for the truck he bought, Unless he changes bellhousing, and also puts new motor mount towers in. 429/460 is direct bolt in for what he's got

EEDIT: oops didnt see you had tranny and T case connected. Im an idiot

front end is worth 1500 hun rear is worth 1 hun, t case another hun, registration with no vi is worth a couple hun, a cab that is attached to the frame thats worth at least 3 hun.. offer him 2500 depending on rust and how it runs.

its a 1979 ford f250 custom 4 speed 400 np205 t18 i believe, i was and looked at it, its in really good shape tiny bit of rust but nothing a zip disk couldnt take care of, frame and cab mounts are in great shape and motor still runs very strong, it has a d60 king pin front and d60 rear, 38's super swampers 50% 6'' lift. hes aking 3k . offered him 2500 says he will think about it. what do you think troy?
