funny clutch

not sure what is up with clutch. it is a brand new clutch and slave and basically the whole system has less than 20,000 kms on it but what seems to happen is when im just driving on the trails if i dont use my clutch alot the pedal gets real soft and sometimes i have to pump it a few times to get it back. do you think this could just be air in the system ? any suggestions i dont wanna have to take otu tranny unless i have to

I had to take it off the bellhousing have someone in the cab and held it so the bleeder was straight up and haven't had a problem since but what a pain.

I've encountered this issue with hydraulic cylinders that have poorly placed bleeders before. This is probably your best bet although it's a bitch...

When my truck was given to me the master rod was bent and the clutch fork was broken right at the pivet point so I ended up doing everything new master, hose, slave, clutch and I had to buy a fork from gm because for whatever reason nobody had the right fork for the hydraulic bellhousing. Thankfully though haven't had any trouble with it since so.
