Will 4.3l V6 bolt in to replace 5.7l V8 ?

Looking to swap a 4.3l V6 to a 95 2dr Tahoe
Just wondering if it would bolt in or would the engine mounts have to be modified ?

Why? the wiring harness and computer will all need to be changed as well. Thats alot of work to get a V6

the 4.3l came with throttle body injection too didn't it ?
when programming my chip I saw an option for V6 so computer should be ok with just new program

Bigger problem for me would be to bolt it in, if engine mounts are the same I should be ok with the rest. Especially since I'm planning for manual transmission.

95, is that tbi or vortech? Apparently you can use the same harness and everything if it's a tbi.

4.3l isn't little, and I have a few ideas of lowering the total weight
highway milage should be less, city/off-road questionable though manual should help
Towing capacity will suffer but I don't have anything to tow
???????

Pretty sure the 4.3 is a 350 with 2 cylinders taken off so probably not a whole lot of difference

Some of the 95 4.3's were SFI, they switched back to TBI in 98.

The blocks in those motors are a chevy 350 block minus 2 cylinders so they bolt up the same that is y u can take a 4.3 out of an S10 and reuse ur serpentine system with a V8 they are identical front and rear. Vortech means the heads are different and they are gas pigs stick with the V8 or ur gonna be wasting ur cash and getting even worse milage trying to move a heavy rig with a gutless motor.

The truck is not geared for a 4.3. My buddy went the other way in a pu. Got better fuel economy and of course nore power with the 350. You will be doing all this work for a huge dissapointment.
