2000 s10 xtreme POS

hey guys im not a chev guy but a friend of mines s10 xtreme blew a fuel pump and asked if i could change it for her, just a quick question do those trucks have an acess hatch in the box or do i have to drop the tank? im just tryin to get an idea of what im in for, thanks for the help

Pretty sure all the chevys need the tank dropped. My dads 92 s10 blazer had to have the tank pulled.

Pump

You dont want to drop the tank on an extreme, its already low enough to the ground. Much easier to undo the 8 bolts that hold the box, pop the tailgate off, and remover the tail lights, lift box, and your not rolling around on the ground. Have done this a few times. GL
