Power steering problem

Is it possible that a power steering pump can start going making it slightly harder to steer?

if a power steering pump looses pressure steering will get harder.

yes it can, mine did it
'05 dodge 2500, 6" lift on 37's, 5.7 chipped, intake and exhaust.
