new summer toy

well i left turkey hunting a day early to go pick up a boat from a guy in abbotsford but he ended up not being around so i ended up finding this for a hell of a good price as it need some floor work, the motor is a 125hp force outboard, all power otions and even a kick ass tape deck, im pretty happy with it, bring on the sun

May the force be with you! Not the easiest of motors to get worked on, I know I have one. You say "Force" to some mechanics and they say no right away. Carbs need to be cared for every year, stupid cork carb gaskets, they leak like a sieve. Kinda a strange evolution of the force motor. First it was Chrysler, then sold and operated as US Marine, Then sold to Bayliner as there own engine , and finally sold to Mercury in its final hurrah. Most parts are available through mercury dealers but a fair number of them are N/A or absolutely stupidly priced. I recommend finding a parts motor, lots of them go to scrap dealers every year and can be purchased at scrap metal rates or CL with a broken leg or a dead cylinder. Mine has been awesome to me (knock on wood) still banging 125 on all three cylinders and enough power for the local lakes. Enjoy, and if you don't have your operator card yet get it now as the regulations be a changing.

Mines a 90hp, compatible with the 120, also a 3 cylinder. Gotta find stern brackets fer mine before boating season hits full swing.
