Lots of good panning in BC pretty much anywhere.. They say across the river from Yale there is suppose to be a gold cache there somewhere. I was going to go exploring it. Emery creek is a good place to go too, also the river bend in Hope , arcross river from town .. Maybe we can make a plan and go exploring.

Only river I will tell poeple about that I can pay for my trip with from panning is the kettle valley. One of the only rivers you can pull platinium out of and pretty common to pan too.. I average about 8 grams or so out of there on a decent day.
Panning you really need to know the river and were the good spots are. You can pan any river in BC as long as some one else doesnt have the rights and you CAN tresspass on property to get to a river to pan.

Princeton is really good for fossils, just near the old bridge near the old hetley rd,

my dad use to take us up the coquihalla for panning when we were younger

I picked up a miners licence just to keep everyone happy, in case you wonder onto someones waterfront property without realizing it.
I usually carry a pan and shovel in the Zuke and try a little panning once in a while after fishing.

I would definately be up for some group panning if anyone else wants to make a plan. We could meet at my place and begin our panning there (I'm on the Coquihalla)...

if any of you make it up to kamloops....hit up macabee fossil beds out past savona. or turn off on the rest stop just out of savona heading to kamloops, the rocks on the side leading to the lake have fossils, some stones(agate and such) and if you're lucky you can find some of the olympic coins from when the truck jack knifed and lost its load ahah. in town you can pan for gold in tranquille creek either at the gold panners reserve....or head up red lake road to watching creek.

you also HAVE to have your license if you are going to be trespassing, no license and they can shoot you. same goes for if you stake a claim.
