8300km on my '07 Grizzly 700 EPS, no issues at all. Wife's '10 850 Polaris doesn't like to hold back in 4wd going down steep technical stuff, locks up the rear wheels and slides even in the hill descent mode. If you don't do real technical riding the Poo is a nice ride and lots of power.

Have you had any good or bad experiences with particular quads?

I ride an 08 Suzuki Kingquad 750, and absolutely beat the crap out of it... 7000km in 2 years, and rolled it lots. Great machine, takes all I've done to it. But as long as you don't get a Polaris, you'll be happy.

My next machine will be a Can Am Outlander for sure though. I don't like how Suzuki and Kawasaki (and probably Honda and Yamaha, but I'm not sure) use an internal oil-bathed rear disc braking system that brakes the rear diff, and shares the oil with the diff, thereby circulating brake pad crud through your gears, and also creating a GIGANTIC job to replace the rear brakes (which I'll have to do soon). And if you should happen to run it down to metal on metal... Kiss your diff goodbye! Can am is smart enough to use an external rear disc before the diff.

Kawasaki prairie 700 I've bet the piss out of it for 5 years without any real issues. Most are good but after seeing the bs Darren (DR800x2) put up with I wouldn't even think Polaris. Canams are really nice but$$$$$$$

I look at all the ATV shops in Kelowna.

I want to think about when to buy and which ATV.

I need to save more money, for sure.

I am not gonna buy a Polaris but maybe a Grizzly, or Can-am , or a Rhino.

Yeah you right about the power steering. Better to have that.

Thanks for the idea about the locker.

Check international motorsports in delta. They bring new bikes in from the US. Bought mine there and saved about 3000-4000 out the door.

i got myself a can am renegade and i love it, the visco lock is pretty good too wish i had the newer QE version of it but still does the trick. i did put a few mods on it, the frame strength mod, exaust and few other things. and yes i have burnt a belt or two. just playing in snow in high range, cant beat the power tho!!

I got a 03' Kodiak 450 its got plenty of power gets decent fuel mileage. Great technical machine not to big or cumbersome and comfy on the logging roads. The only thing to wear out on it was the tie rod ends, front wheel bearings and brake pads with almost 4000km's of aggressive riding

u just cant beat th hp of the canams. Say what you want but power is the most important thing if your an agressive rider.
