I'd choose the Kootenays for sure!! Either Balfour/Crawford Bay for the EXCELLENT golf, fishing and trials in the area, or Cranbrook/Fernie/Sparwood east corner for basically the same reasons. I love it out there. Greatest area on earth!!

Not really putting any thought into work, since that wasn't part of the original question.

I do miss living in Penticton too. . . . . . . . . . . .
