I personally just use the free topo maps and log my designation as I travel on the logging roads when I am offroad..
i just got the triton 400 as well for christmas and was looking at downloads, where can you down load the free topo ones?

There are no free downloads for Magellen, you could try bit torrents but you could turn your triton into a brick..

I would trade err in for a Garmin Etrex HCX.. they are about the similar price at some walmarts.. Free topo's for garmin can be found here
