Where to camp in Kelowna area?

We are going to a wedding around the end of aug. Where can we go camping not too far from town but by or on a lake pulling a slightly lifted tent trailer??? Any help appreciated!

You'll have a hard time finding a secluded spot but you could try bear creek
park on westside rd (provincial) or 15min outa Kelowna is tween lakes resort
in Oyama and also owls nest resort in Oyama,Kal lk is great for swimming
They are both on the water, never been to bear creek I may even be confused with fintry If your looking for more of a forestry site
you'll be a little ways outa town.

Have a good one

You won't find anything "outdoorsy" without at least a 1hr drive.

You could look into the Postil Lake area and/or Chute Lake.

Chute lake is great but lots of dirtbikes quads etc, never camped at postill so I don't know much about it.

What type of camping are you looking for, how far is too far to drive into town and what part of Kelowna is the wedding in?

I disagree. Bowman lake, jackpine, krooked lake, boot lake, Ideal lake, there is literally hundreds of lakes within an hour of Kelowna.

We are looking for somthing at least an hour out of town. But tent trailer friendly we have a hotel for the wedding so that is not a problem. But finding a spot for the kids to swim is important!

Ya Lambly (more commonly known as Bear lake to us locals ) is a good lake for swimming in and the fishing isn't too bad either
You'll find rainbows and perch there
Lots of good trails and such to check out around there too.
You can get to 5 or more lakes within 20min of there too
Have a good time
