my GPW was used on the Alaska hyway during WWII.
After the war , vehicles were abandoned in large groups out in the bush.
Some guy found it up there in the early '60s & my grandfather bought it as his daily driver in the mid '60s.

Awesome thread guys I will have to go search around at the old mans house I should be able to find a bunch of stuff from the 70s and 80s with my old man in his 42 Willys MB and his buddy in a M38

wow awesome thread....guy up here has a bunch of old landrovers, some from the pipeline, huge winches front and rear....gotta see if I can find his place again and get some pictures. [36]
