"Camp Cherokee" ( fender cuttin thread )
Never enough hours in a day. Posted up my 5 KM2's for sale and they sold in less than one hour so I forced to work in the dark and the rain to make room for the new 33's because the 31's were sold and gone lol.

The idea here was to remove inner fender and stock factory flares. Then make relief cuts in between the stock flare holes, fold the relief cuts in and then fold the tabs out as an anchor for new street legal flares.

Only did enough to make it rode worthy to get back and forth to work, still a few days left of cutting and such

Haven't touched the rears or cut the sliders back yet but she's rode worthy with no rubbing! More pics and progress reports to follow.

Trace the flairs while still on the fenders and then just drill new holes and bolt them on, that's what I've always done, gives ya 4" of clearance and cut the front of the fender right under the turn signals then bend the horn mounts up and ur go to
Go, also do a cut & fold on the rear quarters and it will help with your departure angles as well

Well not much progress since I blew out my knee at work, but here's a "Vice grip" mock up of my plans for flat flares. Still lots of cutting to do but I'm getting closer.

now thats fucking funny and true

ChugLife 12-04-2014 10:27 AM

Some more of the work I did, here is where i cut inbetween the spot welds and folded them all in to protect the tire from cuts

Not pretty but functional and legal coverage of tires

All the inner fender thats now exposed will bet a healthy coat of either gravel guard or undercoated black. Still working on the rears so more to come.
