i just got a 94 suzuki sidekick it came with a lift
and other cool options. it has 31"x10.5" tires
but the stearing is unusualy hard to turn.
now is this because of the tires being oversized
or do you think it may be somthing else?:dontknow:

thx any and all opinions will help thx...:D

I believe you should have power steering so is it just hard to turn or are you really fighting with it? If you are fighting it then your power steering might be f'd up.

unless it's a jx, i doubt it has power steering :)
PS is kina rare on kicks until after 94 (94 4 doors, 96 2 doors) when they went with the 16v

if it has power steering, upgrade with either hydro assist, or convert over to toyota ps box and a different pump

yeah thx no it doesn't have power steering
it is hard to turn the wheel sitting not moving
any vehicle without power you would notice
this. but when driving and hanging a left or right
almost feels spring loaded. but this (hydro asist)
and (toyota power steering conversion) any links
to put me in rite direction?.thx for the replies[cheers]

the first step would be to do a SAS on it ;)

the easiest for the ifs is to just find a junkyard setup for the ps. most 4 doors had it. get the pump lines res and box, it all bolts on.

going to hydro assist, you need a pump, lines, res, ps box drilled in specific locations, more lines, and a hydraulic cylinder on the axle housing, it's a solid axle thing.

I had a problem similar to that once, hard to steer even when moving,
Was a bent steering stabilizer, check to be sure the steering stabilizer is in good shape, not bent or broken, or that something else isn't binding making it tougher.

best start i would say is convert to toyota steering. and then SAS it
