Ive got all the running gear out of a 02 Superduty.
What would it be good to swap it into?
I like 79's , but I wonder how much trouble it would be to swap?
Anyone ever put a 79 body on a newer frame?

I have a 1978 Ford F150 for sale that would be a good candidate. We could work something out so I can sell the axles that are in it now for a few bucks and you can use the chassis, body and flat deck. I would keep the front dana 44 for my sas project on my Montero. The motor is healthy but has a couple oil leaks, c6 tranny and np205 transfer case. The flatdeck is 9ft. You may have to move the spring perches on the rear axle to line up with the 70-79 F series frame. If it's a dana50 front axle I wouldn't waste your time with it but if its the 60 then

The trucks Ok but the box was completley shot.
Its in the garbage and I got a nice flatdeck to install.

i still say find a cool 50's or 60's truck in one of those fields up there and build it

not just a 55 chevy or 54 ford , find something different and build it

I cut an '01 superduty frame in half shortened over three feet out of the middle and now it wears bronco sheet metal. worked really well!
