I know, never wheel alone [16]

So, anyway thought I would see where the powerlines get me, came to a bit of a bog, didn't look too bad, walked out on it, thought I would stick my front tires in it and see how it felt....slips right in. There I was....slipped right in.

109728

I tried to dig it out a bit but got stucker and stucker. I really didn't want to walk home, 10 km's to the road and another probably 12 km's from there. But it was pretty much hopeless at this point so I headed out on foot, right away saw a cougar who decided to follow me, saw him a few times, scared the shit out of me as a guy once told me if a cougar lets you see him it means he is going to eat you. So between him and the bears you know where my head was at. Mortal fear.

Got home finally, some tree planters picked me up about 3 kms from home, thanks tree planters. [cheers]

Called Sheldon "Punk In Drublic" (which makes this a Lonesome Dove full pull FIBC rescue)[36] and he dropped everything to come and help. We headed out in the Toy and winched it out, it was a grunt pull, Sheldon was worried the Toy was going to flip over.

Look....an idiot :ballsmack

Sheldon ripping the Toy on the way home [36]

Home at last to a less than happy wife but at least she took our pictures. :dontknow:

So never wheel alone which means I would most likeley never wheel so new rule...stay out of the deep shit...oh sure. Til next time I fuck up. [cheers]

Thank you Sheldon....thank you tree planters. [cheers] To all the locals that drove past my muddy ass when I was walking the paved road out...go fuck yourself ... twice. :D

I was followed by a bear for an hour and a half while hiking a few years back. There were two of us but it still makes you a bit paranoid for sure. Glad you got some help and made it out o.k.

Its a known fact that cougars prey on the weak, old and injured lucky for you (and us) only two of the three apply.

ya it feels weird the front starts to suck down and you think it can't handle it. The suspension is just really soft it won't flip it flexs to well to do that from winching. But then again I havn't pulled many people out in the mud with it mostly only trails (yes the whole 6 times I took it out [15][15][15][15][15])

i wasnt to worried bout goin over the front, it was to the driver side it was leanin pretty good. we were pullin at an angle and down but the jeep didnt want to pull up outa the ruts, but it was still pullin forward so the side load was gettin alot hareder than i was expectin. tons o fun though, cant wait till i got my shit runnin. me n joe will have some adventures im sure.[36]
