Since im electrcally retarded I need to figure out what wires go where. Its for a 2500lb winch. I just need to know where i hook up the wires from the battery and then to the winch. The leads for the switch i know.

top row third post from the left has a + stamp.

bottom row second from the left has a - stamp

left side terminal has a 1 stamp

right side has a 2 stamp

the blue connector has brown wires coming off it to the terminal that have 1 and 2 on it

Can't find any online schematics, but I'd guess + is bat positive, - is bat negative, and the other 2 to the winch. Try it one way if the switch operates backwards, swap the 1 and 2 wires around.

Does your rocker switch have 1 wire that goes directly to bat pos (through a key on power)? Or does it go to the contacter (solenoid pack)? I'm guessing the switch has 3 wires, 1 - pos input, 2 - winch in, 3 - winch out. Haven't looked closely at how mine is wired, was done by the dealer.

the switch has a +(keyed source) and 1 in 2 out. If i hook it up wrong is it possible to fry the solenoid?

You may want to make sure but I can't see it frying it, at the worst it should just power in on an out command and vice a versa.

You probably wont fry the silly-noid Jay.

solenoids are easy
power and ground in and power and ground out
and the two wires hanging off it are your switch wires or trigger wires
