i saw your build and started to laugh pretty dam close to the same trucks the black fenders are the shit :P, I envy your camo doors though, I only got a camo sub box, I got the 5 inch hd ifs elimanator kit from trail gear,.. I got a question for you though what the hell did you do with the rear of the truck i dont have the money to buy 5inch hd rear spring...

nice toyota

Nice, good call, i went with the 4 inch lift. I want to take my body kit out, but i cant find the original hardware. For the rear, if you cant afford the rear lift kit, you will have to get an extended brake line, some blocks ( which i dont really recommend, lots of axle wrap and just dangerous, especially with a 4 or 5 inch block... i dont even know if they make a 5 inch block.), and perhaps re-arc your springs...shitty thing is that when i took my ubolts off the rear to temporarily put blocks under it... i realized that the main leaflet of the pack was split in 2, on both springs. so if thats the case, shitty, you will have to get new springs anyway. to put the blocks in, you will have to take your ebrake off because the cable will interfere..... dont cut anything off..i figured i wont use an ebrake and wanted a clean look on the housing. , so i chopped everything off the housing and distroyed the ebrake.... but when i put the new leafs in, i had room to run it again..... and then i got my MVI, and it required an ebrake. No one makes a transfer case parking brake for the 6 cyl, so i had to go buy a bare housing for the old brackets, new cables and a hell of a time and put the ebrake back in. So just take the cable off, nothing else, incase you need your ebrake later.
Its a huge bitch to take the pins off the rear shackle, they are fused together. so i recommend at least getting new shackles for the rear if you can, because you will probably destroy them in the process.

i got 3 inch blocks ,extended brake lines, and the biggest shackles i could buy for it already, I had an ifs lift in it previous, I figured out my way though, im a dumbass, take out my over load and spend 74 bucks on brand new 3 inch add a leafs..Its not the right way but its the poor way for now?

05-14-2009, 08:57 PM
ya, do what ya gotta do for now of course.... give it time and get the right parts in it when ya can. looks good man.. keep it up

Are those the fiberglass fenders? How much did those set you back? They hold up to the abuse?

05-18-2009, 09:56 AM
their just stock fenders, with jeep fender flares on them, I figured the only thing i could take off my jeep that wouldnt break was the fender flares and shifter knob, The are about 98 bucks each for them
