Went up for a weekend of FUN on Easter Weekend with my buddy and his girlfriend. I took up my Ranger 4x4, and he took his F 150 2wd ( he didnt get far). We started on Harrison W. But eventually had to turn around on the last uphill to 20 mile bay, we got stopped by over a foot of snow (just in this one area). So we doubled back as Hale was not an option for him... but a breeze for me , both ways up/down. We passed through 10 mile bay , but was pretty busy, so we headed to Harrison East.
The day was Amazing!! summer weather on Easter .

We eventually made it to Cogburn beach, after my buddy sprung a leak in his tire , trying to make it in Cascade Peninsula (gate was closed, I got in to the left of it ...needed 4x4). I was dissapointed to see that the West entrance to Cascade was dug right out about 8 feet at the start. That was a great 4x4 run to go through to the back beach.

Anyways we got to Cogburn Beach and camped overnight for free (somebody warned us the next day, pay all summer here) ... what a beauty ! The weather was great that night and the next ... enjoy the pics..you will recognize Hale Creek, Cogburn and Cascade !!
The pic of the Snow cover Mountains is where we got stopped by snow on the other side.

Was that pit on Cogburn? Would love to throw a tarp in there and make a hot tub :-)

Nice pictures...

You need to fix your windsheild....The big crack is distracting.

We use a pit like that to make a steam bath. You "tent" a tarp over it then put some hot rocks in with a shovel. A little bit of water and instant steam sauna!!!!

Works great, you just have to be careful of exploding rocks!
