So my friends 84 F150 broke his clutch linkage/adjuster yesterday. When we removed it we noticed that the very end of it was bent about an inch away from the end. So we picked up another one from Pick A Part off an F250, but this one was straight. I thought that maybe it had bent when it broke, but once we installed it and took it for a test drive, we noticed it needed adjusting. When I poked my head under the dash again I noticed that the new one had bent already! Are the 84s supposed to have a small bend in the end of the plunger, or is there something more seriously wrong with this truck...?
