I use a place in Sumas called http://www.packageexpress.com/
Sumas has shorter lineups and is closer to Mission

just pick one with a loading dock and hopefully a forklift for heavy stuff like an engine

You dont have to pay duty on a used engine. A new or rebuild one then yes you will. I ship gas turbine engines all the time from the states to here no problem at all. If it in an american made engine then you wont have to pay duty on it no matter if its new or not. Your best bet is to call service canada and ask. If they dont know they will put you through to canada customs.
