Me and a buddy took a run up Nickelmine this weekend.
The trail in was covered in about 2' of super heavy, wet snow so we aired down to 10psi and crawled our way in. My pal runs a YJ with a 4" lift and 33"x12.5" mudders, I've got my 'Finder with 31"x10.5" mudders. He's got a standard, me an auto. Him short wheelbase, me long. In the end I had to go first to break a trail that he wouldn't sink in to. I thought this was pretty wierd since he's so much lighter and has wider boots, but I guess auto and long wheelbase make up for alot. Plus my tires were more siped than his.
After we spent an hour or so slowly climbing, getting stuck, digging out and starting over again we were relieved to find that once the mountain leveled out at about 1400 ft., much of the snow was gone, leaving wicked trails at our disposal.
We spent the rest of the day wheeling to our hearts content and had a fire (dogs, marshmallows, all the regular stuff).
The wheeling up at Nickelmine is pretty tough on a stockish rig. After running some really skinny, deep trails I would up with some damage, but it was well worth it!
The roster of bangs n' scrapes:
broken passenger mirror
broken passenger marker light
severely crushed driver side rocker panel (in 2 places)
pounded and bent front skid plate
shifter cable binding (yet to fully check out)
both rear tires punctured
3 new large dents
several new dings
many new gouges and scratches
exhaust bent
both bumpers re-shaped
etc.
Pics are coming, there's very few of the trails...'cause I was busy drivin' but I'll take a buch of the carnage anyway and post them, except for the mirror which I already JB welded - good stuff, almost as priceless as duct tape.

Lots of snow on the climb, but looks good on the top for off-roading.

I have a Pathfinder, too. I really like it - lots of miles 326,000 kms.

How many kms on your Pathfinder?

I've got 265,000kms on mine. I bought it from a buddy who babied it up until about 225,000kms, since then it's known trail abuse!
I love my 'Finder, it's way more capable in "stockish" form than i ever would have expected.
