WJ coils will not work on a ZJ.

If you don't have adjustable control arms you will need some, any more than 5.5" lift you really should be looking to long arm it the stock geometry is pretty much past its limits at 5.5 and bushings will wear very fast and ride quality will go down the toilet

ok so no way to make them fit < just had a guy offer em up for 50 bucks thought they may work ,, they are adjustable CA's in there but not sure hw mcuh adjustment is left ,, I have the RE 4.5 super flex in there now , but thinkin its gonna get all ripped out this weekend and start throwing full size gear under it,, any input? I really like the way it rides with coils on four corners, anyway to make that work witht the chev stuff? Jsut wondering

WJ coils are larger diameter. IIRC.

5.5" lift is STREATCHIGN the limit for stock arms.

i ran 5.5" on my 1994 with stock EVERYTHING. i had to notch the frame side upper mounts and the lower axle side mounts to allow any more down travel. other wise the arms woudl hit the brakets.

i even ran with stock track bars for a while.

once i got the brakets notched, a rear track bar braket (i DO NOT RECOMEND RUNNIGN IT WITHOUT WEDLIGN ON A SUBSTANCIAL GUSSET) and a front adjustable track bar the ride was......livable for a young punk who wanted bigger tires.

the short arms are at suck a steep angle the truck stears liek a skateboard around corners. every bump feels like its a pot hole.

i woudl recomend the RE 4.5" coils up front and XJ front 3" coils in the rear.

you don't need more then a 4.5" lift. I ran 38's on a ZJ with only 4" lift. it was RAD.

How much travel you have with that? I'm guessing not much up travel.

that was all custom long arms and 12 tons.

i got none of it around. Sold it all.

the trick is a sledge hammer to the wheel wells. you can gain abotu 2" all the way around. then undercoat it to prevent any leaks. worked awesome.

then punch out the front a ton

i have about 3.5" of up travel. in the front and 2" in the rear. drove great.

aired down the tires did alot on the loggin roads.
