if you increase the pipe size you should also do something to increase the your intake.

Why don't you want to put on a cold air intake ?

You will get 5+ hp...

Just look up K/N intakes on the web...

They will actually help prevent water getting into the engine.

headers can be done ive doen a couple.. you NEED a bodylift too do headers. well dont need but makes it hella easier. do a single 2.5 exhaust with a high flow cat. but if ya allready bought and put on ur muffler. there is no point in making the piping biger in diameter

how much do the headers cost to do beacuse i have a body lift
but i was going to get a hight flow cat and up the pipe size beause i have the mufler ready to go on.
would a cold air intake be a good advange to?

by the k&n factory replacement filter... take a 3/4 " drill bit.. drill out lots of holes on the BOTTOM of ur air intake.. thats will be the best gains for the cheapest. and most protection from the elemnts.

im going to buy a hi flow cat of my buddy tho and then run 2.5 inch from the headers to the tailpipe and i have a k &n filter already

Thorley or Calmini headers are nice if they make em for your rig. They probably run around $400 but don't quote me on that. I just did my zuk with Calmini headers 2" exhaust and Magnaflow cat and muffler. There are definitely gains to be had in the power department and it will sound better when you are done http://www.funinbc.com/forum/showthread.php?t=94010&highlight=magnaflow. I figure that I gained about 10 to 12HP by re doing my exhaust.

Here is what I did on the Luxo, simple and cheap.

Was the price of the K/N filter and some rope..[16]

that is the opposite of a cold air kit.
you just changed the stock cold air sourced setup for a nice hot engine compartment air source.
I would guess you lost power, and the filter will be far more prone to clogging, and it looks pretty grimy in the pics

Bought the header from Jeep Thrillz and installed it my self. Got the muffler from Lordco and Had the installation done at Budget Brake and Muffler in Coquitlam. Also bought the Cat. through them. All in I think the total from the header to the tailpipe including install was around $1200 but I also had all of the pipe done in stainless and custom bent. Oh and I did a K&N drop in stock replacement air filter too but that was one of the first aftermarket things I bought for the truck after I got it.
