well i went snowshoeing up hear pemberton just past the Joffre Lakes parking lot up into the Marriotte Basin on the north side of the duffy lake road. left my friends place in Burnaby at 5:30 am drive through hard rain and snow all the way to pemberton, then fog but got above all that over the Cayoosh pass and has a beautiful day with no wind and about 6-10" of fresh powder! was looking for a Alpine club of canada cabin, but didn't know the actual name of the cabin until i was up there so i couldn't google it to find it's exact location... needless to say... didn't find it but it was still an amazing day! hope you enjoy the pics!!!

Great pics, looks like you weren't sinking too much. We bought snowshoes this winter to get out as a family, great way to spend a day but still isn't snowmobiling! :D

Speaking of sleddin, judging by the lack of tracks, I'm guessing it's non-motorized where you went?

 haah yup sure did go solo.....but i had people in kamloops that had my plan (map and such) and were expecting me. and i was reasonably prepared myself.... not quite as much as i shouild have been tho.

hahaah yeah just watching thunderstruck 7 right now and thinking back to tuesday thinking about how much fun it would have been to be going UP those hills with a bunhc of ponies between my legs! and yeah snowshoeing is awesome, but when you're raised sledding..... there's nothing like it.

yeah no sledding, it's a park pretty sure.
