Took the Zuk out for another test run. Started at Jordan River.

Did some easy trails.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v690/RunnerRyan/Zuk%20build/DSC02363.jpg

Ran into some snow.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v690/RunnerRyan/Zuk%20build/DSC02361.jpg

Was really hard packed. About a foot deep.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v690/RunnerRyan/Zuk%20build/DSC02362.jpg

Did some test-flexing. Ruined my rear shocks. They were contacting the frame on stuff. :(

And even Swamper SX's aren't invincible. :(

Yes. That will get a proper floor, and a 3rd seat. The plywood was a quick fix so I could have a roof.

Why did you chop off the back body section in the first place ?

It's a Zuk built out of 99% Toyota parts I had lying around. The FJ grille was left over from my totalled FJC.

You can find a lot of sharp objects in a clearcut. And it was a new set. This is it's 4th trip out. :(
At least the replacement tire will still match the tread left on the other 3. :D

The back was extremely rusty. A previous owner tried to fibreglass it back together, and covered the sides with checkerplate. That did wonders.[16]

I originally was going to make a flat deck for it, but I got the soft top for free. Besides, a 3rd seat could come in handy for the random chicks. ;)

That's actually my screwdriver prying it open for the pic. Not really sure what cut it, it sure is a clean cut, though. I'm thinking it was a culvert.

I actually had a huge wingnut in another tire of mine before. Can't figure out how some of these things get in there.
Tire guy I was talking to said he's seen everything from toothpicks to small twigs to everything else you could possibly imagine in a tire.
