I am getting a clicking coming from the passenger side when the hubs are locked in not sure if its a hub or birfield. Its not as if its hard to turn the wheels or anything just getting a bad clicking noise and vibration. I figure if it was a birfield there would be alot more nasty noises coming from the front end. Is there an easy way to check or do I have to pull the birfield and do a visual ? :confused0006: :confused0006:

You have to pull the locking hub off to get to the birf, so start there. Unless you cheat, and pull the steering arms. Stock Toy locking hubs are pretty strong, so I guess birf.

You could have just cracked the bell on the birf. Or it could have run out of grease. It will make bad noises if it grenades, but there are so many other ways it could have broken. Keep in mind, if it is broken, it could suddenly bind your steering, even if unlocked. ;)

True enough I will pull the Hub and go from there trying to diagnosis a broken bifs is almost impossible I guess will just have to tear it down and go from there. I will let you guys know how I make out [36] [36] [36]

If its not a very loud click you may be able to swap sides. Ive swapped sides on my birfs every time I done my inner seals. Breaking the snap ring is a bitch tho.
