Just wondering when the rpms hit around 2500-3000 I get a little chatter noting super loud trucks got close to 300k did a compression check a few months ago when I was considering a rebuild but it checked out from130-150. Nothing leaking nothing burning so I decided it was alright. Just wondering if its normal for the amount of kms on the truck.

what's the oil pressure? Do you have an actual guage or just aballpark idea?

crappy stock gauge but reads in the normal no trouble lights no loss of power. heats seems good does a little bit of clatter in start up for a few secounds basically everything runs well expect for the noise I was thinking it might be a bearing from one of the pulleys but it doesn't really sounds lke that

be careful on which cam you get, i built up a six with four barrel yada yada, and went pretty aggressive on the cam, lost alot of bottom end torque, which is what these motors are for. it woulda been a great motor for a 2wd truck or somethin, but wasnt the greatest for chuggin along a trail. i gave my intake n exaust n head(p/p) to a freind with a stock cam and that thing had some balls down low. tire shredder. id stick with the stock cam or stock grind if ya are rebuilding n putting in a new cam.

Yeah talked to my dad about it since he's a ford guy his answer was shift before it hits 2500 its has enough torque. I just can't leave well enough alone I guess thanks for the advice guys.
