1990 4runner 3.0

I took the rear driveshaft off and replaced my u-joints. Doing so, I pulled the driveshaft apart at the slip-yoke so it sat better in the Vise. I put it back together and now at hwy speeds I have a horrible vibration. It dosnt do it much when I am on the gas or under de-acceleration. Just when I put it in neutral, put the clutch in or partially on the throttle. I've re torqued the bolts and it is still there.

I obviously put the yoke back not in the right spot... is there a way to find the right way? Anyone have a picture of there shaft and the location of the weights?

you should have marked it with chalk... about the only thing you can do is just pull apart turn try over and over or take it in and have em balance it at a shop.

wieghts will be different on every shaft
but the yokes have to be in phase

I knew I had screwed up right when I pulled it off, no easy fix tho. Truckworks said they heat the driveshaft on the truck untill its balanced and remove the weights. Hour labour.

Pull it apart at the slip joint and put it back into phase.
If it still vibrates turn it 180*.

Pull it apart at the slip joint and put it back into phase.
If it still vibrates turn it 90*.

you mean 180 degrees right?

Nice idea. Its not right on the truck. I'll change it and try again.
