im just wondering what i should expect to pay to have a block magnafluxed for cracks and the cylinder walls sonic tested for thickness? also a rough price for cyl boring, line boring, decking, and all the normal machine work a 30 year old block should have done to be ready to build. thanks in advance.

Jon I think I was in the $700-1000 dollar range at Okanagan Engine Rebuilders for my old 351W..that was with all you said plus having the new pistons hung on the rods, ARPs in the rods, all the caps were machined(rods and mains), crank was ground down.. It was $1600 out the door with the machining, new pistons and lifters, then I put it all together and was about $3600 in total
