I have a '87 chev 3/4 ton 4X4 manual tranny with the 350 TBI setup

Fuel pump works and I have fuel to the TBI assy

If I pour gas down the throttle body she runs fine until the gas is gone

but the injectors are not operating

It has had an intermittent problem like this since I have owned it (3yrs)

any ideas :dontknow:

Pump could be not delivering enuff PRESSURE..

Sometimes a faulty gas cap will effect it also Jimbo.

There is no fuel coming out of the injectors at all

I don't believe they are getting power

check the injector fuse in the fuse panel. where the wires pass through the throttle body the wires sometimes ground out and pop the fuse

fuses are all good :(

will check power to the injectors in the morning and work from there

if there is power to the injectors I will once again check connections and grounds to the control module(s) and if no go will take the throttle body apart and check for blockage in the regulator section and clean everything including the injectors..... might as well..... and go from there

is there a schrader valve in the fuel circit? if so you can use a dial pressure gauge.

yeeeehaaaaaw Houston we have lift off

checked all connections and they seemed good but no joy so just for the fuck of it I replaced all the fuses even though none were obviously burnt

and

runs like a charm

my intermittent problems may have just been corrosion on the fuse spade plugins
