View Full Version : Burning down the Practice Building

My fire hall was donated a building to practice in for the summer with the promise that come the spring it was not standing anymore. Well we had several great practices in it and yesterday was the last day there we invited the other halls in the area to get a chance at live fire stuff and Searching in a smoked out building. Here is how it went

the Engine 4x4 with diff locks

Bringing in all the stuff for the burns

running the hoses out and getting the rescue dumby in to the building Billy Burnoff and gearing up for entry

Getting geared for the next drill I was RIT on this one incase something happens to any firemen inside the building we go in to save them.

Nice pics Kris! Keep up the great work! We'll have to get out for a ride when the snow sets up, you still got the Polaris?

The carbon tanks are nice to have but they need to be hydrostatic testing done every 3 years which is a bit cost especially for a small hall like ours. The steel only needs to be done every 5 yrs. Chief believes in having good gear for the all. If we are going to save the foundation might as well look good doing it [36] . My new turn out gear is arriving soon.

Kevin yes i still do have the Polaris. Just set up right now to snow plow the drive way but i can get that all off in no time. Boss is planning a little sledding trip next Wednesday, he is in the market for a new sled, cant decide weather it is going to the arctic cat or another ski doo
