I had an 89 5.0 ho in my Bronco II with 35s... It was good till it froze and popped all but one frost plug and a couple holes in the block:D

well good to know it has been done before my only problem is that l cant aford to have my truck down for too long whall l figure out all the little problems that may arise. such as l know the manifolds and plenums need to be for the truck (l think).

The only thing that is a little odd between the two 302s is the firing order the truck 302 is the old tradational 302/289 firing order the mustang 302HO is the HO/351 Windsor firing order

this won't really make a difference to the Truck fuel injection, just remember to run the correct firing order on the plug wires, the trucks fuel injection is batch fire injectors so it fires each bank of injectors at the same time so the firing order of the engine doesn't matter, but the Mustang injection is true sequential fire injectors so it fires each injector one at a time with the firing order of the engine so if trying to put the truck 302 under the mustang injection you have to switch the injector wiring to match the firing order as well.

My buddy and I put an 86 Mustang 5.0 engine into his 90 F-250 that used to have a 300-6. Pretty straightforward swap.
