so i was checking all my tre's a shit last night and noticed when i yank the draglink the fuckin steering box moves a bit:eek: is this normal? all the bolts are tight, i did use a wagoneer box when i did the springover cause i heard the sector shaft in the stock box was weak. im thinkin a box brace is in order, just wanted to know if this is a common thing?

dont know if it is common thing, but if there is the steering box is moving it cant be good. would the bolt's have bottom'd out and not pulled the box tight to the frame?
box brace would be good addon, but it will only mask the problem.

its more like its flexing, all the bolts are tight and the box is tight to the frame.

plate over the frame with some 3/16-1/4 plate and it should be good

I know they got steering box re-enforcement kits for the cherokee at c-rock.com, not to sure about yj's though
I just ripped mine off last week. Yours should not move at all. Its its flexing, the bolts are getting ready to snap. Goto the store and upgrade to some grade 8 bolts. Torque that puppy down are you'll end up like me with a broken frame and gear box laying on the ground.
