Well I went and got my self another project
1989 F250 7.3L diesel + I have a ATS turbo system for it

already has a dana 60 king pin axle in it and its good an tight to
I need to regear it to match the rear 4.10's
36" goodyear military tires

find a rear driveshaft and some ineterior carpet or rubber mat for it
and I want to put an extended cab on it so there is room for the family
get a custom made tube bed for it and bob the frame a bit

need to work on some exhaust for it

If you want tough as nails flat-black, check out genuine Caterpillar paint. I ran an air hammer on some while removing a damaged panel and it didnt even make a dent in the paint.

Reaper
01-04-2009, 10:27 AM
SO I am back into the planning stages for the rest of the build now

1. 5" shackle reversal lift front and rear
2. np 205/203 doubler
3. ZF5 without a broken mount
4. rebuild rear diff and locker(loose pinion bearing)
5. rear disk brake setup
6. 5.9 cummins turbo diesel

I aslo want a front locker in there as well
also looking at doing a exo cage to tie into the tube bed aswell
there is so many little things that still need attention but are livable for now

I have a 5" shackle reversal kit for front and rear (just havent put it on yet)

Troy
01-09-2009, 10:48 PM
it really depends on how good the suspension flexes. Your plan should work fine as long as you cut the fenders. it would be alot better if you moved your axle forward a few inches to give you that much more clearance from your cab mounts and will give you a better approach angle at the same time.

look in skinnys marshmellow build, they moved his diff forward 3'' or so

heres a pic to show what i mean. this was about 16'' lift and 44's on my shitheap and there was about 3 inches between the top of the tire and fender. you get the idea
