Alright here is the deal, gonna be doing the gears in my truck real soon & while i'm at it i figure i might as well throw a locker in the front. I have an '07 Tacoma with the Elec. Locker in the rear & its also an IFS. I'm hoping someone can tell me the Pro's & Con's of putting a Locker in an IFS Truck.
Thanks in Advance.

No problem, just don't "crank" your wheels and hit the stupid pedal !!

I have an ARB and it works great...(detroit in the rear).
I'ts also a good excuse to install on board air..

a nice thing about arbs...you can drive with a open diff for a long time or right up until you really need the front locked. which will save your cv shafts even an arb front locker seems to work very well even in the open position.

I used to run a welded front then went to arb...I will never go back.

Yep not cheap, but if you buy the ARB minus the compressor and do what I did, fab up the rest, you might save some cash...

Your front axle housing....is it aluminum??
If so your going to want to go easy on it with the locker.

put an arb up front. world of difference when you're locked up front. even better when you can lock when you want to. selectable lockers fr/rr [36]
