Well after some carnage May long weekend I haven't had the zuk out for a run until today. I had broken the front diff housing and blew the clutch...damn 30 packs:D So I figured this was a great time to head over to Shane's (Mudram) place and do a few mods to it. While we had the tranny out I installed a center force clutch, and a kicker 2 twin t-case set up. The kicker 2 mates a modified zuk case to a Toyota t-case. I also twin sticked the yota tcase. While I had the front diff out to replace the housing, I also upgraded to 26 spline axles from 22 spline, also replace the wheel bearings and ball joints. And to add a little power to turn that extra t-case we installed a Doug Thorley header, with a new 2 1/4" exhaust system, and a K&N air filter. We rotated the rear diff, made new shock mounts to relocate the shocks(flexes way better now) and made new drive shafts. In the rear I am using a Toyota cv so no more drive line vibrations:party0010: Here are a few pics of the test run

Yes it makes a big difference! It's not hard to install but it is a lot of work. You will need to fab up a new cross member, turn your rear diff up to correct pinion angle, to do this you have to cut the spring seats off and rotate them, relocate the shock mounts, make new drive shafts and cut new holes in the floor and fill the old one. But it was definitely worth all the work!. I'll post a pic from underneath so you can get an idea of what it looks like

thanks a lot for the info and pics

in second thought I may just do rock crawler gears 4.24:1 it would be cheper and easier but just not as good

what ratio you get with those? how many selection of gears you have?

I have twenty gear selections to chose from, high range, zuk t-case in low range, yota t-case in low range, and both the zuk and yota t-cases in low range X all 5 gears in trans= 20 gears to chose from. The two t-cases combined together are 4.10:1. The 26 spline axles are a lot stronger than the 22 spline.

Holleyyy,,,,, 20 gear.

its great but I cannot do all the moddification now cuz living in apartment at the moment :(
but changing gears to 4.21 is not that hard I only need to taking the T case out and back in, though I really like to have that selection[cheers]
