So I've been having an ongoing arguement on what years are the cutoffs for what generation Toyota.
My story is this...
First gen is 79 to 83.
Second gen is 84-88 for pickups and 84-89 for 4Runners.
Third gen starts at 89 for pickups and 90 for 4Runners.

Do you agree with this? If not, what years do you think it goes by?

Ok, fair enough. But to make it simpler, if one was to ask for a secon gen fender, they would get 84-88 pickup and 84-89 4Runner. Correct?

Guess I am a nerd... I think there is a "generation gap" between 79 and 82.
