..but it is OUTSIDE against a beautiful sunset! ...and people get mad when I don't post enough PICS.

Besides, I just wanted to showcase my foray into automotive photography... and put it out there that I can do this kind of work for you or a friend.. If I had a dream hot-rod, I'd totally get a pro photo done BIG and hang it in my basement across from the pool table, maybe near the bar and stripper pole (yeah yeah, keep dreamin')

It looks good on the screen, but I just had a massive print made, and it's ridiculous in person.. so crisp.

It's a combination of somewhere between 12-16 frames. The car is lit with a bunch of strobes fired through a big 72" light panel. Moved around the car with this setup to get even light on all areas. The wheels are lit on separate shots to get perfect highlights, the hood is lit with a separate shot, interior lit with a separate shot (didn't use too much of that exposure), background is a combo of 9 exposures... and then a bit of accentuating of the headlight beams to give the picture an ad-like look.

A businessman I do product photography for just had his BRAND NEW CHALLENGER delivered here to his office.... I am hoping that he's into a photoshoot, 'cause that is one FINE CAR. I want him to light 'em up SO BAD.

definate ad...car is way too brite for that background..

that's the power of strobe lighting.. you can underexpose the background knocking down the ambient light - then add the light back in where you want it.

Is that on the way up to SFU?

If you get a photoshoot with that Challenger, make sure you post up the pics. That is one sweet ride.

What color did he get?

He got the charcoal black one.. I think anyone spending that much should go with the orange.. but the black matches his Z6 Corvette, his Magnum Hemi, his '07 Dodge Truck... his black runabout boat... I'm not kidding.

The pic is taken on the Parkway in Nanaimo, end of Northfield Road.

SWEET PICTURE!!! My favorite year Acura.
Hey Kevin I just got a visual of what you said and this is what that visual is making me do:

After thinking about Kev made himself do this

That's awesome! Amazing what you can do with the right equipment and experience! A buddy of mine takes some amazing pics, does the same thing and uses multiple shots and overlays them on themselves with photoshop.

I showed the big print to a colleague at work... he picked up the phone and called his friend, who called his sponsor... guess who's taking a promo picture of a 1939 Willy's Coupe that is sponsored by DUDE beer?

Same coupe will be at Mission Raceway on August 2nd for it's very first drag.. and I just went by his place after work to check it out.. this thing is ridiculous... he fired it up and the sound was pure heaven.
