so my buddy cant figure out how to remove his started in his truck , i took a look at it and it looks like you have to pull the bracket that the front diff sits on and lower the ront diff. am i corect ehohas had to change theres???
any help would be muchly apreciated as i dont wanna work on this thing

on my 94 4.3 its 3 bolts and drops straight down mine seemed fairly easy compared to my toy 3.0 starter...lol

my 4.3 is just 2 bolts, and it drops out like nothin...? nothin to it?

yeah i just looked at mine and its 3 bolts and will fall right out

ya finally got the started it it wasnt just 2-3 bolts had to move some other stuff, new starter in and it satill doesnt help, and the alt is smoking when you hirt thwe ignition, any suggestions

make sure the ground straps on the engine are all good...then unplug the alternator and try again....lastly buy a alternator rebuild kit...put in the rectifier bridge (you probably fried it )..and drive it like ya stole it
