i used a grinder with a cut off blade and a sla saw with a huge ass blade. plasma for the most part would be nice but its not needed. i had all the frontend off and cleaned in a day, so it wasnt that bad. have fun ,and after u'll never drive a indpent. front end again

I have done 4 SAS so far two with grinders and two with plasma, grinder will take you most part of one day to get it off...plasma I had everything out in just under an hour....

oxy-fuel torch. reliable, easy to use and quick. spasma also have to have a compressor which not everyone has. if you get the tip too hot on the plasma or are using it overhead its really easy to burn the inner tip up. and they are close to $20 each.

plasma......... or a torch...

grinder and sawzall just wastes time...

you should be able to do the complete sas in a day if your diff is pre assembled...
