I just bought a 1977 power wagon with a 440 in it. Only problem is it is overheating, I am no mechanic but I do lots of learning and skills myself. Which I have learned lots but I know overheating is BAD!!! can blow the engine and this truck I want to keep. I feel in love with it, my question is I cleaned the rad, i am going to replace the rad hoses cause they are old. Thermostat could be the issue but dont know what to do here to check?

its probably the water pump. i tried to call ya back earlier but there was no answer. your thermostat is at the end of the top hose where it connects to the motor should be 2 bolts. if ya need hoses i have a couple in the back i also have a water pump brand new might even have a thermostat out there. i also have 2 new radiators so let me know what ya need.
