HEAVY METAL
07-04-2008, 07:32 AM
sure in the hell aint no high rise...

HEAVY METAL
07-04-2008, 07:33 AM
and man you rreally dont know much eh. keep the edelbrock, it'll be fine for what you can/ will do. spend the money on elsewhere needed stuff. like brakes, fluids, ball joints, beraings...you get the idea.

rmiller026
07-04-2008, 07:41 AM
then what would u call it its not a solid intake you can see right under the carb o i will keep the carb unless some one will trade me or i find one cheep that thins brand new i cant get the damn thing to start ive tried everything we had it going for 5 seconds and thats it

rmiller026
07-04-2008, 07:42 AM
could the rotor timing be off and its sparking the wrong cylender at the wrong time

HEAVY METAL
07-04-2008, 07:43 AM

i think they are called air gap intake manifold

epic3
07-04-2008, 04:41 PM

its function is to keep the intake air/fuel cooler

rmiller026
07-05-2008, 11:00 AM

is there fuel setting in the motor? fil up the bowl with gas. try poring a bit down the carb and see if it fires. have you checked for fuel/spark yet?

rmiller026
07-06-2008, 05:19 PM
ive tried all that theres spark fuel goes to the carb put fuel down in i think the rotor timing is out im gunna swap all the wires off the coil go one wire forward at a time to see if thats it if that aint it i have a feeling its the dura spark its pissing me off tho u shouls come take a look at it kyle

rmiller026
07-11-2008, 07:48 PM
so whut do u guys think its worth??

Troy
07-12-2008, 06:51 PM
so whut do u guys think its worth??

i wouldnt pay a dime for it unless it runs

u gotta diagnose it better than that. start with the plugs , then plug wires, then rotor, then coil, then the duraspark box. the boxes crap out sometimes, could be as simple as that.

rmiller026
07-12-2008, 07:32 PM
plugs are brand new wires brand new rotors brand new coil is a brand new msd that i put on so im preaty sure its the brain box

Problably just a timing issue. Shouldnt be a hard thing to fix at all. what a fuckin steal for 400 bucks... id pay that for the tires

rmiller026
07-13-2008, 07:59 AM
u have any suggestions on my issue ive trief fucking everything we have even put the #1 cylinder at top dead center and tried if from there fucking nothing its making me mental

In The Zone

set the base timing 8 deg btdc
simple check for spark from coil
be sure u have fuel
if u have these it should fire...
set the idle on the carb up to keep it running.

if u dont want it i will give u 500.00 cash and drive it away...

rmiller026
07-13-2008, 03:35 PM
you get it running and i will give u a case of beer and call u god

rmiller026
07-13-2008, 03:38 PM
